Training programme concludes

With an aim to protect and preserve wildlife and forest and to increase the economy, a five days long training on livelihood and income generation on piggery was held at Tamei Headquarter for Piulong village, Bunning Wildlife Sanctuary.
The five days training programme was organised by Wildlife Division, forest department in collaboration with Integrated Rural Development and Educational Organisations Manipur under CSS-Integrated Development of Wildlife Habitat 2018-19, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, GoI.
The concluding function was graced by Divisional Forest Officer, Wildlife Department of Forest, GoM, Waikhom Romabai as chief guest.
Range Officer Inderjit Singh and Project Coordinator of Integrated Rural Development and Educational Organisations Manipur, Dr NG Dev Karna Singh were also present in the concluding function.
About 20 widows from Piulong village attended the training programme.
On the concluding day of the training programme, piglets, roofing sheets and certificates were given to all the trainees through the guests.
Peter, Chairman of Piulong Village Authority expressed happiness and extended gratitude to the organisers for providing training and piglets to the trainees.
