CRAFDU urges Forest Minister to clarify on promise he gave in 2017

Alleging that Forest and Environment Minister Th Shyamkumar had promised a sum of Rs 20 lakh for the differently abled persons in 2017, Cradle for Disabled Union, CRAFDU has urged the Minister to clarify whether the amount has been released or not before the public to clear misunderstanding between the public and union and among its members.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet at Yairipok Tulihal Community Hall in Imphal East today, CRAFDU president Abdur Rajak said that the Minister had promised the amount (Rs 20 lakh) to the union for welfare of differently abled persons on July 30, 2017.The Minister was attending 8th foundation day of CRAFDU when he made the 'promise', said Rajak.
Again in October 2017, the Minister during a tree plantation programme had also 'assured the amount within a month time', Rajak claimed.
Claiming that there is misunderstanding rising out of the alleged assurance given by the Minister, Rajak appealed the Minister to clarify through media whether the amount has been released or not.
The Minister's clarification will clear the air of misunderstanding between the public and the union and among its members, Rajak said while alleging that the amount has not been released so far.
Other members of the union were also present during the press meet.
