MEMWA mourns

Manipur Ex-MLAs Welfare Association (MEMWA) has expressed its immense sorrows on the demise of Dr L Chandramani Singh, former deputy chief minister of Manipur.
According to the Association, late Dr L Chandramani Singh was one of the distinguished historians and parliamentarians in Manipur.
"It will be a great challenge to replenish the gap due to his loss," said the Association.
The Association then observed one minute silence as respect to the departed soul.
The Association also "presented" a sum of Rs 10000 (ten thousand).
According to the Manipur Ex-MLAs Welfare Association, Dr L Chandramani Singh elected for six terms to the Manipur Legislative Assembly who represented Patsoi assembly constituency and served as minister, Speaker and Deputy Chief Minister.
Dr Chandramani had also served as president of the Federal Party of Manipur (FPM) .
He had also served as president of Manipur People's Part (MPP), according to the Association.
"We prayed that his soul may rest in peace," the Association said.
