A song album entitled "Eikhoi Mikap Thoklasi", produced by the Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) calling people to awake and know the day to day degrading socio-economic and governance system was released today by noted Musicologist Laishram Birendra at a function held at Kangla hall.
The album consisting of 13 songs of lyricists, B Jayentakumar, Thangam Kora, Narendra Ningomba, KC Nanda and Rajendro Okram focused the unstopped killing spree, atrocities, uncheck influx of outsiders and impacts received by the indigenous people of the land.
Sagolsem Tijendra is the music director.
Lyrics were also present in the function.
Giving key note address of the releasing function, president, LC Santosh of DESAM, the student body is producing the album, collection of songs with a view to aware the people on the degrading socio economy condition of the state which is keeping the future of the society in a dark.
The songs also aimed at giving a message to the people on the need of shaping the society for future.
Noted musicologist, Birendra who release the album said that music is the only art form which can give greatest impact to the heart of all section of the people expressing hope that the effort of DESAM will able to awake the people on the present situation of the society.
Singer, Hamom Naba also the secretary of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur is observed that a message of a lyric could be spread to the people in few four/five minutes.
If the message of the DESAM could be spread to the masses and awaken them, it will be a great thing.
"Our society having its own culture, tradition, elocution has no more regard by the people themselves," he said.
