ZSU threatens stir over pitiable health centers in Tamei

Peeved at the lackadaisical attitude of the government towards development of health care centers in Tamei sub-division in Tamenglong for the last many years, the Zeliangrong Students' Union (ZSU) has warned of launching different forms of agitation.
Announcing this in a press meet at its office, Shangruh Gangmei, secretary of ZSU lamented that none of the deputed doctors at Tamei PHC is found present though at least two doctors are supposed to be present at the centre.
Owing to the absence of the doctors at the centre, villagers of Tamei have been facing untold miseries at the time of medical attention, he added.
Contending that a pregnant woman died on its way to admitting at Tamenglong Hospital recently which is due to the absence of doctors at Tamei PHC, he informed media persons Health Minister will be urged to depute dedicated doctors in the centre at the earliest.
He then cautioned that series of agitation will be launched by the union if the concerned authorities fail to address the grievances of the villagers of Tamei.
