The benefit of the Bima Gram FY 2009-2010 under LIC Micro Insurance have been extended to six villagers under Senapati district.
It is said that the benefit of Bima Gram is can be extended to any village having population between 1600 to 5000 if at least 300 residents joined the LIC Micro Insurance.
The benefit of the Bima Gram to six villages of Senapati district were extended during a function organised by People's Development Society at State Guest House here with Deputy Commissioner of Senepati district Nidhi Kesarwani as chief guest.
A sum of Rs 25,000 have been provided to each of the beneficiary village.
ADC Kangpokpi H Rupachandra; SDO of Paomata Sub-Division M Gouru Singh; Marketing Manager of LIC, Silchar Divisional Office D Sahu were also present during the function presided over by vice president of People's Development Society Ksh Sarvodayachand Singh.
The six beneficiary villages are Saikul Hill Town village, Laii village, Phuba Khuman village, Saranamei village, Tunggam Khullen and Tungjoy village.
