Dimapur, April 05 2011:
NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chisi Swu has expressed optimism that there would be a "positive outcome in the ensuing talks" between the outfit and New Delhi.
NSCN-IM and the government of India will hold another round of talks within this month.
NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah had left Dimapur for New Delhi to prepare for the talks.
However, it is still unclear whether Isak Chisi Swu has left Dimapur for Delhi or not.
Swu was supposed to leave Dimapur on April 5 .
On April 4, Isak Chisi Swu had convened the "joint council meeting" of the outfit at Hebron and briefed on the present status of the talks.
The NSCN-IM leader said that the talks will bear fruits soon.
A month ago, Isak Chisi had arrived New Delhi from the Philippines to participate in the talks with the government of India.
After that round of holding dialogue, both Muivah and Swu had come to Nagaland to participate in the 'highest level meeting' of the Naga reconciliation.
However, the programme could not take place due to the sudden reviewing of decision by the NSCN-K .
By the term the highest level meeting, it is the meeting of the topmost leaders of the three Naga underground organisations viz, the NSCN-K, FGN/NNC and the NSCN-IM .
Meanwhile, 38 cadres of the NSCN-K have defected to the NSCN-IM camp on Monday, according to NSCN-IM leader Rev A.Puni.
In a statement, A Puni said the NSCN-K cadres had left their camp as they felt the NSCN-K has no agenda to hold political talks.
