North East Development Minister PR Kyndiah today said any policy announcement regarding development projects for Manipur would be done only after the by-election in the State.
"The Ministry would announce status of the developmental projects for Manipur only after the by election is over," he told PTI after a meeting with Manipur CM Ibobi Singh.
The same stand holds for any new project for the State, the .Minister said, adding that this stand was conveyed to the Manipur CM during the meeting.
The Central Govt has already expressed its opinion in favour of a dialogue as the means to solve sociopolitical issues of Manipur; he said and added that the insurgent groups had been invited to start parleys with the Union Home Ministry.
"There is a growing realization in favour of normalcy in Manipur," the Chief Minister told reporters after the meeting.
The State Government has extended invitation to all insurgent groups for a dialogue to find out the way for an everlasting peace in the state, he said.
"We are taking all possible steps to bring normalcy in the State," he said and added the question of repeal of the AFSPA can not take place until normalcy returns.
