With the setting up of the Kuki Revolutionary Front (KRF) today, the armed group KNO/KLA has been abolished with immediate effect.
Declaring the formation of KRF during a press meet at a location in Senapati district today, the outfit's information and publicity secretary Armstrong Gangte said that the outfit will certainly add a new chapter in the dynamics of Kuki politics.

Pledging that the outfit will try every effort to bring peace, unity and development in the society, Armstrong Gangte warned that no one should the name of KNO/KLA in future.
Advocating unity and common struggle for all Chin, Kuki, Mizo and Zomi peoples in order to achieve their political aspiration, Armstrong said, "Our based is the living history in which the Kukis never surrender to any nation".
Conveying the outfit's wish to reform social institutions in the pattern of modern democracy as it is reportedly the best form of governance, KRF also paid deep respect to all the departed brethren "who had sacrificed their lives in order to protect our territorial and moral integrity".
The KRF further assured that it shall abide by the terms and conditions of the Suspension of Operation.
Armstrong Gangte said that the outfit will remain within the fold of UPF in their collective effort to fulfil the aspiration of the Kuki people.
