Imphal, December 12 2008: MPP PRESIDENT Dr Chandramani has urged the voters to consider twice if they are aware of the present turmoil in the state even as BJP president H Borbabu assured the people that after the NDA came to power at the Centre SPF government in the state will be dragged down with the electioneering of the candidates of the bye-election to the Moirang Assembly Constitution high up.

Speaking at the flag hoisting ceremony of the MPP candidate Hemam Bira Singh today at the candidates house, MPP president, Dr L Chandramani said it is not a easy matter to fight an election and if the Congress continue its habit of sending out young one to contest election, the country will be on the devastation.

He also said that voters should not give their votes to such party at this crucial time of the state where the state has been turned into a killing field.

BJP, president, H Bobabu who also attended the function and supporting the MPP candidate said that Congress by knowing that NDA is coming to power at the Centre after the upcoming Lok Shaba election has hurriedly fixed the bye-election of Moirang A/C.He further said that, NDA will come to power at the Centre after the next election and after then the SPF government in the state will be dethroned.

With the changing political scenario in the country, BJP has decided to extend support to the MPP, he added.

Senior MPP leader O Joy said that if NDA come to power at the Centre, it's a step of coming up of an alternative government in the state too.

He also said that the present situation in the state where people are facing the atrocities meted out by the security is the result of people defiance to give in favour of the MPP who called for vote for bringing an end to the sorrows of the people.

Former Union minister Th Chaoba who also spoke on the occasion said that Congress who claim themselves as believer of secularism is looking down the Muslims community citing the instance that when some ruling and oppositions in the state recommend for sending former Speaker of state Assembly Md Maniruddin to the Rajya Shabha, Congress turned down it saying that Sonia Gandhi refused it and sent Rishang Keishing.

The outnumber security forces in the name of curbing the insurgents have turned toward the people.

Now, people are afraid of even carrying money for buying goods for a marriage ceremony from the market.

They hired women to carry the money, Chaoba said.

Former chief minister, W Nipamacha who recently joint BJP said that Bira is the candidate put up by the NDA.

Voters of Moirang A/C should not cast vote in a minor age candidate, he added.

RK Dorendro, who is also former chief minister of Manipur said, BJP leaders are taking part in the election rally only to show that BJP has extended support to MPP in order to defeat Congress.

To stop killing people, there is the need of defeating Congress, Dorendro said.
