CM inspects Keithel repairing work, greets mothers

Recognizing the patience, strength and unconditional love and support of mothers, Chief Minister N Biren Singh shared his warm greetings to all the mothers of the State for their indomitable spirit on Mother's Day.
"We should seek blessings and pay rich tributes to all our mothers on such a special day", Biren said.
He shared his greetings while making a spot assessment of the ongoing repairing work at Ima Keithel today.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA of Yaiskul AC Th Satyabrata, Principal Secretary (MAHUD) Rakesh Ranjan, Municipal Commissioner and officials of Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) .
Talking to media persons about the traffic congestion at Thangal Keithel, Paona Keithel, other areas of Khwairamband and Keishampat to Khoyathong stretch, Biren urged residents, shop owners and shopkeepers of these areas to refrain from parking their vehicles on the roadside.
He maintained that they should be dropped and picked up by drivers or family members and no permanent parking will not be allowed in these areas.
For those residents of Thangal Keithel and Paona Keithel who do not have parking space, the IMC will make arrangements to park their vehicles at the parking lots constructed over the Naga Nullah.
He informed that encroachers and illegal shops constructed over the Naga Nullah have been evicted by IMC and police lately.
Taking advantage of the current Nationwide lockdown, the repairing work is being taken up at the historic Ima Keithel by the IMC since April 22 .
