While calling the Naga movement as a righteous cause, the Naga army chief also acknowledged the presence of God during the struggle till date and asked all not to judge the national workers for their shortcomings but instead to focus on the Naga cause.

Naga leaders may not be perfect but the cause is perfect.
Many leaders in the past had suffered.
Had there been no 'Nagalim for Christ', he would not have joined the NSCN, the Naga leader added.
He continued that although different adversaries and their allies might say one thing or the other, the Naga cause is perfect and nothing is impossible with God.
The NSCN army chief then called for strength ening of the movement with renewed support from the people for the perfect cause.
The concept of 'Nagalim for Christ' is not only for Naga army but also for all Naga citizens, apart from Naga issue, Ningkhan Shimray further said as he sought cooperation and support of the people and the CSOs to make the movement stronger until the aspired goal is achieved.
Integration, flag and constitution are not only the demand of the NSCN but they are their rights.

Earlier, Wanglar Thiirtung, president ANSAM, delivered a welcome address.
In his keynote address, AC Thotso, general secretary ANSAM, called the event the day to discuss the struggle and future of the Nagas.
He said that the youth cannot remain unaware of what is going on and confused of the political position, people's existence around the world at this crucial juncture.
When looking back at the history, people came across many kingdoms, some of which were forgotten by history, but Nagas' history remains intact because their forefathers, ancestors and leaders had taken the right decision at the right time for the posterity of the Nagas, the Assam leader said.
It is because of the struggle, sacrifices, sweat and tears of the senior leaders that the Naga peace talk has progressed this far, Thotso said, adding that it is the spirit of nationalism that made the student body bring together leaders of various civil organizations of the state to reason together, to study together and to discourse on the process of peace talk with the government of India.
An interaction hour followed in the later part of the programme.
