Kangpokpi police continue yeomen services

Kangpokpi, May 18 2020:
Kangpokpi District Police continued its yeomen service amid the pandemic COVID-19 in the district.
A team led by Inspector Khogen, Officer-in-Charge of Kangpokpi Police Station cleaned up litters and trashes at the District Screening Centre or Centralized Arrival Point at Brig M Thomas Ground wearing Personal Protection Kit yesterday.
It was the point where incoming stranded people are dropped and screened.
The police also handed over a sum of Rs 3,000 as an assistance on behalf of the District Police to volunteers of Kangpokpi Youth Union, who were engaged in helping on duty officials and serving stranded people round the clock.
Meanwhile, the District police also donated ten empty tar drum to be placed inside Brig M Thomas Ground for the stranded people to throw the waste and litters.
Kangpokpi Youth Union expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Police for the financial assistance despite the hardships they face owing to COVID-19 pandemic.
