Train from Gujarat reach Jiribam with 613 on board

A special train from Vadodara in Gujarat ferrying 613 stranded residents of Manipur reached Jiribam Railway Station at 4.51 am today.
The same train was also carrying 186 passengers belonging to Sikkim and another 235 belonging to Meghalaya.
They got down from the train at Guwahati but one girl from Sikkim died of heart attack within the train before it reached Guwahati.
The 613 Manipuri passengers who arrived at Jiribam today included 18 from Ukhrul, 32 from Churachandpur & Pherzawl, 10 from Tamenglong, 25 from Senapati, 29 from Chandel, 50 from Bishnupur, 23 from Kangpokpi, 111 from Thoubal, 97 from Imphal East & Kamjong, 132 from Imphal West & Tengnoupal and 14 from Noney District.

They left Jiribam for their respective districts in separate buses arranged district-wise.
All the returnees who came back from Vadodara were screened at the Jiribam Railway Station.
Under the supervision of Jiribam District Administration, all the returnees boarded buses after undergoing necessary screening and other mandatory procedures.
They would remain in isolation at community quarantine centres for 14 days.
137 stranded folks reach Kpi from Bengaluru, Gujarat:
Stranded people of Kangpokpi district from Bangalore and Gujarat arrived today at Kangpokpi DHQs who were then sent to the District Institutional Quarantine Centre after screening and other formalities at the District Screening Centre.
Altogether, one hundred eleven stranded Kangpokpi people from Bangalore arrived at Jiribam in special train late yesterday evening and reached the District Screening Centre at Brig.

Among the returnees, 47 people are put under surveillance at BIET Centre, Leikop under Kangpokpi AC while 32 each are put under surveillance at EMRS, Gamnom Saparmeina under Saitu AC and Thangtong Govt Hr Sec School at Thangkanphai under Saikul AC .
Later, in the afternoon at around 4.35 pm twenty six stranded Kangpokpi people from Gujarat arrived at the District Screening Centre from Jiribam.
Among the returnees, 10 people have been put under surveillance at BIET Centre, Leikop in Kangpokpi AC while 9 people were put under surveillance at EMRS Gamnom Saparmeina in Saitu AC and 7 people were sent to Thangtong Govt Hr Sec School in Saikul AC .
A seven month pregnant woman along with her husband and a child among the Bangalore returnees from Hengbung village are currently put under surveillance at BIET Centre, Leikop under Kangpokpi AC.
They were reportedly lodged in a special room by the SDO concerned while medical officials are regularly monitoring her condition.
All the returnees were provided free food at the Screening Centre under the initiative of COVID-19 Emergency Food Kiosk, an initiative taken by the ADC Sadar Hills in collaboration with the KWWO and KYU.
