KSO Sadar Hills censures Army brutality to L Jangnomphai villager

Strongly denouncing the alleged brutality of the Indian Army posted at Kotlen along the National Highway 37 towards a villager of L.Jangnomphai village under Sapormeina Police Station, the Kuki Students' Organization Sadar Hills warned of actions, if any such incident recurs towards the innocent civilian in future.
Elaborating on the incident to the media at Kangpokpi today, President KSO Sadar Hills Thangminlen Kipgen alleged that one Lalkam Kipgen (38), a dweller of L.Jangnomphai village under Gamnom Sapormeina police station was arrested on October 4 at around 9:30 pm while he was sleeping with his ailing wife with false fabricated story at his residence.
He was brutally assaulted by the security force and handover to the police, claimed the student body supremo before adding that Lalkam Kipgen, a cultivator by profession, is a father of four children who had been in a very puny health condition after donating 2 unit of blood to his wife when he was arrested and mercilessly assaulted.
The KSO Sadar Hills supremo wondered that he (Lalkam) was released today by the police without any condition stating that no counterfeit or culpability has been found against him.
He continued that such unlawful arrested and brutality towards innocent person would jeopardise the lives of many youths in the society by the Army.
While emphasizing that the state Government held the primary responsibility to protect innocent civilians of the state the KSO Sadar Hills further urged the state Government to deliver an enhanced, comprehensive and more regional approach to the humanitarian situation, including assistance to victims of security force brutality.
