BJP writes epitaph for Congress party
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, January 17 2022: While claiming that the Congress party has always remained as the biggest threat to the democracy in the history of India, BJP Manipur Pradesh chief spokesperson Ch Biioy has remarked that it (Congress) is nearing its end.

Speaking to newspersons at Thambal Shanglen of BJP here on Monday, Bijoy observed the Congress is making incoherent statements, just like one would make when their end draws near.

Thus, it would be a complete waste to vote for Congress, considering the fact that at least 5-6 more MLAs who have high potential to win election On Congress ticket are likely to join the BJP.

As such, it would be better to directly vote for BJP instead of doing so indirectly through Congress.

Regarding MPCC president N Loken's claims of Congress winning 25 seats, the BJP spokesperson recounted that the MPCC president had rephrased the number of seats to 15, which shows the lack of confidence.

"The biggest threat to democracy is Congress, as was seen in 1975 under the rule of then PM Indira Gandhi.

The citizens of the country were robbed of their civil rights while opposition leaders were jailed, earning Congress a place among the list of political parties in the world that violated democracy.

The situation continued during the time of Congress Youth president Sanjoy Gandhi, the son of Indira Gandhi.

The national capital experienced riots and around 300 lives were lost Congress also did not spare the internet.

From Nehru to Rahul Gandhi, the dynastic rule and feudal mindset has affected the country.

In Manipur, O Ibobi tried to incorporate the dynastic rule in the state but was strongly rejected by the people of the state.

"In addition, Congress' remarks on economy and health sector are hilarious, considering its history of withholding the wages of state government's employees for months.

The number of corruption cases against Congress is unending, while no cases have been filed against Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister N Biren.

The cases of buying police belt made Out of cardboard paper, missing of arms of police armoury, MDS scam and Loktak clearance scandal, all occurred during the time of Congress.

But Congress cannot say the same for BJP," he remarked.

Bijoy continued: "In 2017, PM Modi called O Ibobi '10 percent' chief minister during a function held in Langjing.

If the name-calling had no basis, Congress could have filed a defamation case but did not do so.

Congress always overpraises its own performance, but it should be noted that the then CM O Ibobi-led government received the titles of '10 percent' and 'zero performance' for valid reasons".

Reacting to NPP's statements that no political party will win absolute majority in the state, the he said that NPP will not win 20 seats, as claimed.

If BJP were to win absolute majority NPP will lose miserably and will have to give up its hope of forcing a hung assembly.

"Absence of a stable government will be detrimental to the development of the state.

Casting votes to other parties aside from BJP is a waste of the precious votes.

Instead,; the people should vote for BJP to bring about a democratic spirit and ensure the formation of a stable government," he asserted.
