CCpur reports 42 new COVID-19 cases

Churachandpur, January 17 2022:
Churachandpur district on Monday reported a single-day spike of 42 (16 male & 26 female) new Covid-19 cases taking the number of lactive cases to 198, the highest in about five months.
A total of three persons (lM & 2F) were also discharged in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases in the district includes 80 males and 118 females, according to data updated by the IDSP of CMO, Churachandpur.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 7.50 per cent but no Covid-19 related death case has been reported in the district.
The report also informed that a total of 127 persons underwent Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at different testing centres including CMO Testing Site and other private centres where results of 39 persons came positive.
Three were confirmed positive through RTPCR test.
Mention may be made that the number of positive cases in the first wave (May 2020-March202l) was 2095 .
In the second wave (April 2021 - December 2021), the total number of positive cases was 8145 while in the third wave (From January 2022), the number of active cases is 237 .
