CCpur reports 42 new Covid cases

CCpur, January 17 2022:
Churachandpur District on Monday reported a single-day spike of 42 (16 male & 26 female) new Covid-19 cases, the highest since January 1 .
In the district, active Covid-19 cases have increased to 198, the highest in about five months.
Meanwhile, a total of three persons (1M & 2F) have recovered during the last 24 hours.
The total number of active cases as of date in the District stands at 198 which included 80 male and 118 female, according to data updated by the IDSP, CMO, Churachandpur.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 7.50 % .
No Covid-19 related death case has been reported in the District during the past 24 hours.
There has been no Covid-19 fatality since November 2021 .
It may be mentioned that a total of 127 persons underwent Rapid Antigen Test at different testing centres including CMO Testing Site and other private centres on January 17 .
Out of which, 39 persons came positive while 3 were confirmed positive in RTPCR test.
The number of positive cases in the first wave (May 2020-March 2021) was 2095 .
In the second wave (April 2021-December 2021), the total number of positive cases was 8145 while in the third wave (From January 2022), the number of active cases is 237 .
