Imphal, June 25 2026:
UAL/UNAL today staged a sit-in protest against the detention of Arambai Tenggol volunteers by security forces and the NIA.
Residents from Uripok, Kangchup Road, Lamphel, Langol, and Nagamapal also launched a signature campaign seeking general amnesty for Arambai Tenggol and village volunteers.
Participants said the volunteers are "sons of the soil" who served their communities and should not be branded as terrorists or anti-national.
They described them as proud citizens of India and urged authorities to adopt a peaceful, reconciliatory approach.
The campaign appealed for dialogue, justice, and steps to ensure peace and stability in Manipur within the rule of law.
UAL/UNAL reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful, democratic advocacy for the welfare and unity of Manipur.
