Like Minded Group extends monetary aid

Imphal, January 17 2022:
In continuation of its philanthropic activities, Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur extended monetary aid to Leishangthem ongbi Kamala Devi (65 yrs), who had been robbed of Rs 40,000 by an unidentified woman on the pretext of buying bananas.
LMG in a press release said that a team of the group led by its Advisor, Wangkhemcha Shamjai along with Secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam and member Salam Chaoba Luwang went to Singjamei Bazar today and handed over the monetary aid of Rs 4000 to L Kamala Devi of Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai who sells bananas at Singjamei Bazar with an aim to provide some relief for the time being.

The group took up the initiative of helping her after the LMG came across a video on social media where L Kamala Devi narrated how her bag containing Rs 40,000 was snatched by an unidentified woman who came to buy bananas from her.
Speaking on the sidelines, Ojit Sorokhaibam said that such cases of robbery are on the rise.
Therefore he urged all local vendors, especially womenfolk to be extra cautious regarding their belongings to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
