Bishnupur DM orders restrictions

Bishnupur, January 17 2022:
Bishnupur district administration has notified enforcement of various restrictions with immediate effect to prevent spread of Covid-19 cases subsequent to detection of Omicron variant in the state.
As per an order issued by district magistrate L Bikram there will be restriction on gathering of people (including election related), with a maximum of 50 person or half; of the capacity whichever is less in case of closed spaces and maximum of 200 person in case of open spaces.
Wearing of face masks in public places, gatherings and crowded areas is a critical Covid Appropriate Behaviour and it should be strictly enforced and violators will be penalised promptly under relevant rules, it said.
Furthermore, road show, Pad-yatra, cycle/bike/venicle/physical rally and procession of political parties or candidates (including intending candidates) or any other group related to election or any other group/organisation will not be allowed till January 24.Political parties shall ensure the compliance of Covid Appropriate- Behaviour and guidelines and Model Code of Conduct at all occasions during the activities connected with elections.
Moreover, all remaining restrictions as contained in the Revised Broad Guidelines for Conduct of Elections, 2022 of ECI issued on January 8 as well as instructions issued by the state government on Covid related restriction shall continue to operate, it said.
