Tangkhul Zonal chairmen seek BIPL clarification

Four zonal chairmen of Tangkhul villages sought clarification of Bhartia Infrastructure Private Limited (BIPL) on purported 'negligence and delayed' in the restoration work of NH-102A from Ukhrul to Talui (28 km) .
The zonal chairmen yesterday conducted an inspection to take the stock of the ongoing NH-102A restoration work progress from Ukhrul to Tadubi (about 115 km) .
M Raman, chairman of west Tangkhul villages stated that restoration work of NH-102A (from Talui to Tadubi) awarded to four different work agencies, is nearly finished.
Whereas the phase I, (0-28km) from Ukhrul to Talui executed by BIPL under NHIDCL has 'no progress' .
Only about 6 km stretch was found constructed while the remaining stretch is yet to be initiated, he said appealing the BIPL to clarify the reasons behind the delay/poor progress.
The chairmen also appealed the NHIDCL to expedite the double lane construction at the earliest.
