Anal dialect recognition celebrated, textbooks released

Anal dialect recognition celebration cum Anal textbooks release function was held today at Chakpikarong Govt HS, Chandel district.
The programme was organised with the theme 'Learning Anal dialect for better knowledge' by Anal Naga Chiefs' Association, Karong subdivision.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, MLA D Korungthang said that the introduction of Anal dialect in school from Class I to VIII is a milestone in the tribe's history.
He also expressed gratitude to the CM and his Cabinet colleagues for giving approval for the recognition of the Anal dialect.
Korungthang also said that students would now be able to read the tribe's history, its folk stories etc in their own dialect.

The programme was attended among others by Z Solomon, Joint Director, TRI, Julie Daryal Anal, SDO Machi, KL Hringkham, AC to DC Chandel and ex MLA and ex MP BD Behring.
Presentation of the tribe's traditional dances and songs marked the function.
Speaking at the occasion, Anal Literature Society chairman L Worling expressed gratitude to the CM and his Cabinet colleagues, D Korungthang MLA, BD Behring, ex-MLA and ex-MP, Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga, H Deleep Singh, Secretary (Education) for the recognition of the Anal dialect.
The State Cabinet recently gave its approval for recognition to Anal, Maram, Maring and Simte dialects.
