Medical camp concludes

A three-day medical camp organised on the 10th foundation day of Irengbam Thamcha Devi Nursing and Health Care Research Institute and Multi-Speciality Hospital at Uripok concluded today.
Altogether 1600 people were examined and drugs were distributed during the camp which started from September 30 .
Talking about the medical camp, the hospital's managing director Irengbam Ibetombi said that several health problems related to surgery, gynaecology, medicine, paediatrics and dentistry were examined during the camp.
Moreover, random blood sugar tests, ECG and Ultrasonography were also conducted free of cost.
All the patients who were examined during the camp would be issued a permanent health card each on October 10 and there would be concession at the time of diagnosis and treatment at the hospital in future, Ibetombi added.
The hospital's medical superintendent Dr Ningthoujam Nando claimed that the hospital would provide health care service on the principle of 'minimum cost, best care service' .
He said that patients above 65 years would be charged minimum medical fees.
Medical fees would be much lower at Irengbam Thamcha Devi Nursing and Health Care Research Institute and Multi-Speciality Hospital as compared to other private hospitals.
No patients would be asked to make any deposit before undergo-ing surgical operations, Dr Nando said.
