113-yr-old man still lives in Tamenglong district

Imphal, October 02 2014 :
On the occasion of Internationla Day for Older persons, Tamenglong district has spotted its oldest person, who has lived over a century. 113-year-old N Wangchambou, born in the year 1902 at Phumjeng (Atangkhul) under Tamei Sub-Division in Tamenglong belongs to Liangmai community.
He is the only man living today.

According to Vice-Chairman, Namraining (Tamei HQ) Authority, DM Tangambou, no proper education was given to him by his parents as such facilities were not known to them at that them.
His first wife had died very young after giving birth to a son.
His second wife had no child but his third wife N Kaibonliu gave birth to four sons and four daughters.
Wangchambou, by the grace of God, never falls sick in his lifetime and he has no hearing or eye sight problems, he added.
