562 bags of paddy donated for distribution

Former minister N Mangi Singh's farmer supporters from Kumbi Municipal Council and five Gram Panchayats under Kumbi assembly constituency on Tuesday donated 562 bags of paddy for distribution amongst people affected by Covid-19 under the second phase of Seva Hi Sangathan campaign to celebrate seven years of NDA rule.
The paddies were deposited by the farmers at the residence of former minister N Mangi at Kumbi in his presence along with Wangoo Borayangbi Zilla Parishad member M Brojen Singh, Wangoo Terakhong GP pradhan P Baleshwor, Borayangbi GP up-pradhan L Mani, Kumbi Municipal Council former chairperson W Priyoranjan, ex-councillors W Bobychand Luwang and W Meghachandra, BJP Kumbi Mandal former general secretary Tomba Soibam and GPs members.
Speaking on the occasion, N Mangi noted that BJP workers, who are his supporters, have come together and donated paddy from their own granaries for distribution amongst people affected by Covid-19 in support of Seva Hi Sangathan campaign as well as initiatives taken up by chief minister N Biren for containing the pandemic in the state.
The donated paddies will be distributed to households under 35 polling stations of Kumbi AC, which have been hard hit by the pandemic, he said.
