13 fresh cases reported, 17 discharged

Imphal, December 25 2021:
The state on Saturday reported 13 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 1088 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering a positivity rate of 1.19 per cent against 0.83 per cent recorded on Friday.
No new death case was reported on Saturday and the fatality tally remains at 2000 .
The active caseload came down to 182 out of which 24 (13.19 per cent) are in home isolation.
There is no updated information on bed availabilities in hospitals and Covid Care Centres.
Out of the 16 districts, only three reported fresh Covid cases on Saturday.
So far, the state has recorded 96,306 positive cases and 1626 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 501 new positive cases and 23 fatalities out of which 93 new cases and 5 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, all the 13 new positive cases (6 male & 7 female) are from among the general population and their samples were confirmed at JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (10) .
The positive cases are from Imphal East (6), Imphal West (6) and Kakching (1) .
All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
In the last 24 hours, 17 patients were discharged from home isolation (2), RIMS (1), JNIMS (6) and CCCs (8) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,25,706 (general population - 1,21,272 and CAPF personnel - 4,434) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,23,524 (general population - 1,19,096 and CAPF personnel - 4,428) and number of active cases is 182 (general population - 181 and CAPF personnel - 1) .
The recovery rate is 98.26 per cent.
A total of 317 D-type and 117 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4369 vaccine doses were administered on Friday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 13,18,739 of which 9,75,397 are fully vaccinated.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (44,120), Imphal East (27,933), Thoubal (9490), Churachandpur (10,192), Kangpokpi (2793), Tamenglong (3284), Bishnupur (9236), Senapati (2249), Ukhrul (2998), Kakching (6450), Chandel (2366), Noney (1076), Tengnoupal (1077), Jiribam (1023), Kamiong (955) and Pherzawl (464) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (670), Imphal East (479), Thoubal (179), Churachandpur (163), Kangpokpi (62), Tamenglong (14), Bishnupur (194), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (44), Kakching (115), Chandel (41), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 40,511 confirmed.cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,842 CPM, Test rate has improved to 4,68,721 tests per million population against the national average of 4,79,305 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.59 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 1088 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 1.19 per cent per cent while the cumulative positivity came down to 8.64 per cent.
