KSO hails Health Minister, demands District Hospital

Kanggui, May 04 2014:
Hailing Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing for his maiden visit to Community Health Centre, Kanggui yesterday along with RD&PR Minister Francis Ngajokpa, IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip and MLA Nemcha Kipgen, Kuki Students' Organization (KSO) Sadar Hills today urged the Health Minister to upgrade CHC Kanggui into District Hospital at the earliest in the interest of the local people.
Speaking to local newsmen this evening at Kanggui, KSO Sadar Hills president Thangminlen Kipgen expressed gratitude to the Health Minister and his colleagues for paying a visit to CHC Kanggui and taking into account the condition and needs of the centre as well as the people's desire.
He pointed out that with growth of human population; CHC Kanggui is not in the capacity to look after the medical needs of the people.
So, the CHC needs to be upgraded into a district hospital.
In this regard, the student body has also reportedly submitted a memorandum to the Health Minister during his visit yesterday.
"We also demand posting of adequate doctors and sanctioning of an additional CMO post for Sadar Hills", added Thangminlen.
In the meantime, the student body has appealed to the general public as well as the local CSOs to coordinated with the CHC authority for proper and smooth functioning of the CHC.
