Need to establish a cultural institute: K Radhakumar

Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West Kangjam Radhakumar has said that the cultural centre of Epathoukok located at Lamphelpat can be developed into a cultural institute for the State.
He was speaking as Chief Guest of a reception cum website launching function organized by Epathoukok at its Naoremthong office here today.
Nrita Bhushan awardee S Jati (Nongbanshaba) and Sahitya Akademi awardee Dr Makhonmani Mongsaba were given warm reception besides a website "www.epathoukok.org" was launched during the function.
Radhakumar further said that the Epathoukok cultural centre at Lamphelpat is an excellent centre for promoting the State's rich art and culture and so its development can be brought before the State Cabinet.

He also appreciated the members of Epathoukok for launching a website to impart information about the State's art and culture to the whole world.
Deviating from the main theme of the function, DC Radhakumar appealed to the public to seek permission from the district authorities if they wish to organize any function using loud speakers.
Delivering the presidential speech, former DGP Y Joykumar said that Manipur is known for its rich art and culture, and it is also called the "Powerhouse of Sports" in the country.
