KMACS condemns police brutality

Endorsing the joint movement of Manipur University Students Union (MUSU) and other CSOs, demanding removal of AP Pandey from the chair of Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts & Cultural Society (KIMACS) has made required arrangements to join the movement.
A press release issued by secretary of KIMACS condemned the harsh action and brutality of police personnel which led to the injury of DESAM general secretary and other students.
KIMACS demanded the authorities concerned to serve fitting punishment to the police personnel who took out harsh actions upon the students.
It warned that it will take up different form of agitation if the State Govt fails to give a response, regarding the KIMACS's movement to appoint Thang Ta lecturer, before July 27.It stated that the felicitation ceremony for high mark scorers of Thang Ta students (class X & XII) has been postponed owing to the present situation of the State as well as its movement reagrding the appointment of Thang Ta lecturer.
