Trucks start moving

Imphal, July 19 2018:
The trial along the repaired portion of Imphal-Dimapur National Highway 2 near Naga Hospital was conducted successfully yesterday night.
With the success of the trial, around 120 goods laden trucks which had been stranded at the area since the past many days, successfully crossed the repaired portion and reached Imphal today.
Around 200 more trucks which had been stranded near Dimapur will also proceed towards Imphal today.
A joint team of Manipur Road Transport Drivers and Motor Workers' Union and Surface Transport Eco and Environment SOC Nagaland extended aid and assistance to the drivers and truckers of the said 200 vehicles.
On the other hand, a source from IOCL Imphal Divisional Office informed that with successful completion of the repair works, POL and LPG tanker trucks will start transversing the road with CRPF convoys.
