3 Vovinam players from Manipur in Indian team for South Asian Championship

Imphal, July 19 2018:
Three players of Vovinam Association of Manipur will be representing India in the 1st South Asian Vovinam Championship which will be held at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium, Dhaka under the supervision of South Asian Vovinam Federation from July 19 to 22.The State players who will represent India in the championship organised by Bangladesh Vovinam Association are Sapam Lanchenbi (fighting-56 kg), Lourem-bam Korouhanba (fighting-50 kg) and Chingtham Mahadev (form).
Sapam Lanchenbi is a daughter of Sapam Sanou and Sapam Ongbi Bijenti of Lilong Chajing Mamang Leikai while Lourembam Korouhanba was born to Lourembam Henthoingamba and Lourembam Ongbi Ranibala of Uripok Khaidem Leikai.
Chingtham Mahadev who will be participating in the form event was born to Chingtham Shyam and Chingtham Ongbi Memton of Ningombam Awang Leikai.
The three players left Imphal for Dhaka today.
