1 year diploma in Public Health Nursing Supervision launched

Inauguration function of the 1 Year Diploma in Public Health Nursing Supervision (DPHNS) course was organised today at Regional Health & Family Welfare Training Centre, R&D Wing Complex, Lamphelpat, Imphal.
Director Health & Family Welfare Dr K Rajo Singh, who attended the event as chief guest stressed the importance of introducing the course and said that the course will step up the health care system.
"The course is a much needed chapter which will improve the healthcare system of the State," he said.
Stating that nurses have a much vast and a greater role to play in the healthcare institutions, he emphasised the need for more training programmes for the nurses to improve their understanding and knowledge of the profession for delivering better services and care.
He urged all nurses who are joining the programme/course to learn with dedication and enthusiasm for an improved and better healthcare system in the State.
50 nurses are pursuing the course.
Principal Regional Health & Family Welfare Training Centre Lamphelpat Dr O Sanahanbi Devi, Additional Director Medical Care (MC) Dr P Shyamsunder Singh and retired Joint Director Nursing, Medical Directorate Vungzanem Valte also attended the event as presidium members.
