Manipur to create history by organizing 'World Youth Summit-2015'

Manipur will host "World Summit, 2015", one of the biggest youth events in the world with participants from 200 countries from around the world including national leaders and popular international personalities.
The Summit planned to be held from March 15 to 19 next year at City Convention Center is being organized by Club 25 International, Manipur and The announcement was made by the organizing club, following a meeting held at Classic Hotel in Imphal on Thursday.
The objectives of the programme is to empower the youths by sharing experiences and exchange of ideas on various global issues, facilitation of effective partnership with youths organizations and youth-movements to further strengthen inclusive participation in the decision making process and implementation of the post 2015 development agenda including the creation of an inclusive youth participation.
It will also highlight a discussion on the impact of Facebook and other social networking sites, apart from hosting a talk on the implementation of the World Program for Action on Youth (WPAY).
Besides other programs that will be showcased in this epic event, it will also present the year's Global Youth Award, Best Presenter Award, the Club 25 International Award, Best Participant Award and Best Group Presentation Award.
The historic event will be attended by various important dignitaries are the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Kiran Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, renowed author Shiv Khera, DONER Minister Jitendra Singh and Chairman of Reliance Foundation, Anil Ambani.
Among the international delegates include the Nobel Peace Prize Winner and leader of National League Democracy political party, Aung San Suu Ki and Hollywood Actor and Ex Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger along with top UNO officials.
Further, it has informed that the recommendations made during the Summit will be sent for policy formulation to both Local and National Governments and other international organizations like UNESCO, UNDP, UNICEF and other bodies on youth resilience, rebuilding components and disaster response.
According to the organizers the mega event will provide an opportunity to expose the problems faced in this part of the world and will also help create an encouraging platform to the youths.
Meanwhile, the organization had called for a support from the State and other public and private sectors in the arrangement to hold such a challenging mammoth task.
