A three-day National level instructional workshop on Cryptology has kick started at the senate hall (Earth Science building) of Manipur University today.
The workshop is being organised by Manipur University under the aegis of Cryptology Research Society of India (CRSI) and Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSC), Chennai.
The workshop, first of its kind in NE India, is being held with an objective to give an upto date treaties of the principles, techniques and algorithms of interest in Cryptographic practice and its analysis on security to the researchers/scientists particularly in eastern and North east India.
Thirty six resource persons from institutes like IIT Chennai, ISI Kolkata, IMSC Chennai, DRDO Delhi and Jadavpur University etc and 34 from Manipur University are taking part in the workshop.
SAG DRDO Dr PK Saxena, CRSI Secretary Prof BK Roy, Prof KS Bhamra of Mathematics Department MU, Prof RL Gartia of Physics Department MU, and Mathematics HOD Dr Ng Ibohal were the members of the dais in the opening function.
