Awareness programme conducted

As a part of the two month long ongoing Hand Embroidery Skill Development Programme, awareness programmes on how to generate income were conducted for the trainees at Singjamei Chingamathak, Imphal West and Lairikyengbam Leikai at Imphal East today.
The training programme is organised by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons in association with National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC), Himachal Consultancy Organization (HIMCON) Shimla and Ratanapeeth, Guwahati.
During the awareness programme, B Joyshree Devi, State Project Officer of National Cooperative Union of India elaborated to the trainees about self employment among women and how to generate income apart from the household responsibilities.
She further sensitized the trainees in detail about how to form Self Help Groups SHGs and to earn money accordingly.
Also she spoke about how to take benefit out of the various Government and bank schemes and how to materialize it.
Joyshree gave assurance that she will extend all possible help to the trainees from her side.
A free medical check up was also conducted for the trainees during today's programme.
