Flying training for NCC cadets recommences

Flying training of Air Wing cadets of 1 Manipur Air Sqn NCC has recommenced from today onwards with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
With the resumption of the training, three cadets were imparted flying training on Microlite Virus SW-80 aircraft under the supervision of Wg Cdr M Herojit Singh, Commanding Officer, 1 (M) Air Sqn NCC, Imphal, said a statement issued by 1 (M) Air Sqn NCC.
The flying training, which is carried out to give cadets a first hand exposure to flying of aircrafts, was discontinued due to COVID-19 pandemic in March last year, it said.
The training was given to the cadets in the 3rd Year of NCC so as to enable them to appear in the upcoming 'C Certificate Examination, it said.
The flying training will be continued and imparted to all Senior Division/Wing (2nd and 3rd Year) and subsequently to junior cadets, it said.
