DC inspects police barracks and office construction at Mao

The much awaited approach road to Dzuko valley equipped with a proper police station and office infrastructures will soon materialize.
Deputy Commissioner KirankumarJAS inspected the undergoing works at the site and expressed satisfactory development which is likely to be inaugurated soon.
Additionally, a mega project guest house for tourists is in the pipeline.
With just 20 minutes ride to the base camp of the high altitude trekking route, the new approach road will also felicitate a quick response and motorable route for any emergency situation like recent wildfire incidents, disasters, medical emergency or preventing illegal activities like hunting, felling falling trees in the valley areas.
Currently, a temporary security post with forces from IRBs, Manipur Rifles and Police have been established since last December despite extreme weather conditions like cold wind, snowfall and poor infrastructure.
According to sources, in a bid to counter natural disaster in Dzuko valley, the Manipur Government has also decided to create and develop some water bodies within the Senapati district areas to deal with wildfire and assist Helicopter Bambi bucket operations.
The PHE Minister Losii Dikho with DC Kirankumar under direct supervision and coordination with the Chief Minister N Biren Singh have formulated plans and projects to develop such water bodies very soon.
