State logs two cases, two recoveries

Imphal, April 24 2022:
Sunday reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 185 samples tested in the last 24 hours and registered 1.08 per cent positivity rate against 1.61 per cent recorded on Saturday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, two patients were discharged from home isolation.
Number of active cases remains at 27 out of which 7 (25.93 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,424 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 118 new positive cases and zero fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 16 and zero respectively.
According to official reports, the two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and they are from Bishnupur and Kangpokpi.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,212 (general population - 1,32,198 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,065 (general population - 1,30,058 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 27 (general population).
The recovery rate is 98.44 per cent.
A total of 89 D-type and 3 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 537 vaccine doses administered in the same period taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,53,511, out of which 11,97,896 had received second dose and 76,112 jabbed with precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48745), Imphal East (30443), Thoubal (10159), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3133), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9840), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3275), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,219 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,657 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,353 tests per million population against the national average of 5,94,319 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent and cumulative positivity rate at 8.53 per cent.
