Death of ex-ministers, BJP state chief condoled

Imphal, May 18 2021:
Chief minister N Biren Singh, deputy chief minister Y Joykumar Singh and National People's Party (NPP) national president N Kayisii have condoled the untimely demise of former social welfare minister and NPP national general secretary Vivek Raj Wangkhem.
The trio also conveyed deepest sorrow, shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for peaceful rest of the departed soul.
Meanwhile, Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Y Khemchand Singh, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution minister Th Sa-tyabrata Singh and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Govindas Konthoujam extended heartfelt condolences over the sudden demise of former Finance minister Laishom Lalit and former minister Vivek Raj Wangkhem.
In separate statements, Khemchand, Satyabrata and Govindas also shared the grief of the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peaceful rest of the departed souls.
In recognition of Laishom Lalit's service and dedication, MPCC will fly the party's flag at half-mast, added Govindas.
On the other-hand, All Manipur Dharma Raksha Samiti, Airport Road Imphal expressed deep condolences over the untimely demise of BJP Manipur president Prof S Tikendra while Senior Citizens for Society, Nagamapal RIMS Road mourned the demise of former minister and Society's former president Laishom Lalit Singh.
Former ministers Lalit, Vivek Raj and BJP state chief Prof Tikendra succumbed to Covid-19 related health complications.
