Loitam Richard murder case handed over to CID

The Government of Karnataka has formally ordered the transferring of the controversial Loitam Richard murder case to the CID.
A copy of the official order of Karnataka for transferring the case to the CID was produced to the media here by Manipur BJP unit president Shantikumar Sharma.
Shantikumar, who was camping in Karnataka since May 20 on the Richard murder case, arrived here today.
According to the Manipur BJP leader, the Chief Minister of Karnataka had assured him that re-examination of the autopsy report on the cause of death Richard Loitam would be done.
The copy of the order of Karnataka Government for the Richard murder case transference to CID stated, "On the basis of complaint (April 18,2012) of S Sudhakar, Supervisor, Archarya Institute of Technology, New Hostel, Thammenahally, Bangalore North Taluk, a case in Madanayakanahalli police station UDR No.24/2012, u/s 174� & Case no.229/12 u/s 323, 302 r/w 34 IPC of Bangalore Rural district is registered.
Vide reference above; the case has been transferred to CID for further investigation" .
The order was signed by Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General of Police, Karnataka.
It can be noted here that few days ago goods made in the state of Karnataka were seized by students and burnt in the presence of media persons at Imphal, as part of the agitation against the alleged neglect of the Congress Government in Manipur to give pressure on the concerned authorities over the suspicious death Loitam Richard.
The six students' organizations AMSU, DESAM, MSF, KSA, SUK and SWAK are protesting the negligence of the state government to give pressure to the Karnataka government and the Indian government to allow the CBI to investigate into the murder of Richard Loitam.
