Woman MLAs intervention desired

Victim party of a crime against a woman has desired the intervention of women legislatures in cases relating to crime against women like theirs.
Addressing media persons at WAD Office, Palace Compound, a victim party in a crime related to woman in Thoubal district has expressed their desire over the intervention of women legislatures to take the cudgel.
Presenting their case, it was told that a girl, Ningthoujam Babysana (17) d/o Bheigyachandra of Khangabok Part-II was raped by a man identified as one Laishram Boy alias Dinesh (24) s/o Panchom one day during April/May last year.
She was threatened of facing dire consequence in case she revealed the incident to any one.
As a result, the woman became pregnant.
On learning that she was conceived, she took a bold step to wed the man.
However, she was treated badly by her in-laws as well as her husband, Boy.
Later, the woman was forced to abort the baby after issuing threat and intimidation on her resistance.
The woman had lodged a complaint in this regard to the CJM, Thoubal.
