Assam Rifles Nodal School organizes felicitation function

The Assam Rifles Nodal School, Mantripukhri organized a felicitation function in the honour of its students who cleared the recently declared Class X CBSE Board exams, today at the school's premises.
According to a press statement released by PRO IGAR(S) the Assam Rifles Nodal School, Mantripukhri brought laurels home with astounding 100% results in the Out of 26 students, 24 passed with first division.
The first two positions were bagged by local students Master Moirangthem Victor Meitei who secured 93.1% marks and Master Imdad Ali Shah scoring 91.2% marks.
Speaking on the occasion Maj Gen U K Gurung, YSM IGAR (S) commended the management and staff for their dedicated efforts.
As part of ongoing efforts to turn Assam Rifles Nodal School, Mantripukhri into a model school, a fully equipped Science Laboratory and Library were also inaugurated by Maj Gen U K Gurung on the occasion.
The school has recently been approved for upgradation to Senior Secondary (XII) level by CBSE.
The release further stated that the IGAR (S), true to if motto of 'Friends of Manipur' has been instrumental in improving educational facilities in the area.
Apart from wards of Assam Rifles personnel, quality education is imparted to local students of adjoining areas.
Furthering this cause, the school is providing for free education to ten students from Below Poverty Line families of adjoining villages.

It further added that the School, in addition to emphasizing on academics, also promotes adventure spirit amongst its student to facilitate all round growth.
Accordingly, a Summer Camp for students of the school was also organized from 14 May to 06 Jun 2012.The activities included adventure sports like Rock Climbing, Horse Riding and Trekking apart from co-curricular activities like public speaking and debate.
The Assam Rifles Nodal School, Mantripukhri, ever since its inception in 1990, has grown from being a primary School to Senior Secondary School.
However, the school is determined to showcase its growth not merely by an astonishing development of infrastructure and facilities but also by proving excellence in academics.
The school is committed to its students becoming a responsible and confident human being, who would shape the destiny of the State and the Nation, the statement added.
On the other hand, 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) in association with students and representative of Primary School Upper Khoripok celebrated World Environment Day on 05 Jun 2012, it said.
