Black-marketers thrive from 'fuel scarcity'
Source: Hueiyen News Service
Imphal, August 25 2014:
While the state is facing acute shortage of fuel due to economic blockade along Imphal-Dimapur Highway (NH-37), black marketers are enjoying their heyday making good profits from their business.
Most oil outlets in the state are found closed with banners reading "Petrol Nil" displayed at their gates.
|
However, many black marketers with jerkins containing petrol are seen selling petrol along the roadside or just in front of the oil outlets.
A litre of petrol which costs only Rs.70 is sold at Rs.120 to 150.Neither any authority checks such black marketers, nor do people raise their voice despite the frequent loots by these fuel black marketers.
