270 doctors to be recruited

Imphal, November 21 2011:
Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar has informed that process is underway for recruiting 270 new doctors to solve the problem of shortage of doctors both in the hills and the valley districts of the state.
Inaugurating the newly constructed building of a Primary Health Centre at Kakwa today, the Minister said that the government has been paying special attention to the medical needs of the people living in both the hills and the valley area of the state.
Presiding over the function, MLA O Joy pointed out that it is the duty of the doctors to treat the patients and save their lives and that doctors need to perform their duties with a sense of dedication.
Human life is very precious, because despite advancement in science, no one can create human life.
Additional Director of Medical Department Dr L Surchandra was also present and spoke at the occasion as Guest of Honour.
