Prove fund misappropriation : CM Ibobi

Chief Minister, O Ibobi Singh today said that he would tender resignation as CM if anybody proves misappropriation of state plan funds.
Speaking at the flagship training programme of Congress workers at the Thoubal District Congress Committee office today, the CM also informed that with the help provided by the RTI Act, one can ascertain details of released funds and its utilization.
If there is any doubt in the utilization of plan funds received from the Centre, one can go to the department which he or she doubts and extract information by submitting an application containing the details of the information he or she wanted to know.
He said that the Congress led SPF government is working at its best for the development of the state.
There has been no misappropriation of funds, he added.
For the current fiscal year 2011-12, the Planning Commission of India finalized the state plan size at ' 3,600 crore against the previous year's size of ' 2,600 .
Government is heavily engaging in preparing DPR for utilization of the funds to be released during the year, he said asserting that the Planning Commission does not release funds if the state could not properly use funds released earlier.
