Maunday Thursday Lessons for today's rulers

Centre Church of the Manipur Baptist Convention came alive to the spirit of Maunday Thursday, which is a religious rites before Good Friday and recalls the humility of Lord Jesus Christ, who washed the feet of his disciples during the Last Supper.
The washing of feet, as it has come to be known, was conducted at the Last Supper wherein Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples and today this event is literally followed as a way of reminding the rulers that they are here to serve the people.
MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam who turned up for the sacred function washed the feet of elderly persons, while a number of ADC Chairmen also followed suit.
Secretary of MBC, Dr Rev W Konghar was also present.
Meanwhile Good Friday Service will be held at MBC Centre Church tomorrow at 6.30 am while Easter Sunrise Service of all the Imphal Churches will be held at 5 am at War Memorial Cemetry.

Easter Service and Holy Communion will follow at MBC Centre Church at 7 am on April 24 .
