Three shops gutted in Thangal Bazaar fire

Imphal, May 04 2012:
Out of three shops which caught fire in Thangal Bazaar near Sani Mandir caught fire this morning; one of the shops was totally gutted in the blaze.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 am today.
According to reports culled from the spot, the fire broke out from one of the shops 'Th Nupamacha Tyre Repairing' belonging to one Budhachandra of Lalambung Makhong and it soon spread to the other two shops 'RB Servicing Centre' and 'M/s Auto Servicing' .

Estimated loss in the fire is said to be around Rs 20 lakh. One of the firemen identified as Kh Karamjit was scalded while trying to extinguish the fire.
