MNRF condoles

Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) has condoled the demise of Ayekpam Wangpa @ Tomba @ Tona, the Vice Chairman of UNLF .
“It is unfortunate for the people of Manipuri nation to loose such a great revolutionary leader Sir Ayekpam Wangpa @ Tomba @ Tona, the Vice Chairman of UNLF, Manipur at this critical juncture while the external forces are trying to discredit the unique history of Manipur.
Sir Wangpa was not a mere revolutionary leader but a man of true vision who had stood the test of time with belief to fight for the sovereignty of Manipur and WESEA region expecting nothing less and nothing more.
He was also, one of the pioneer leaders among the revolutionary leaders who worked to bring peace and understanding between the Naga and the Kuki during the ethnic clash.
He was the leader and fighter who had dedicated his whole life for the cause of self-determination of Manipur and the region.
He inspired the young people to fight for national freedom without reservation,” MNRF chairman said in a condolence message .
The MNRF and the Naga people of Manipur will remember him with much respect as he had given his valuable life for the Manipuri national cause until death.
The people of Manipur, had lost a great and dedicated leader, a pioneer and a brave fighter, it said adding “MNRF do pray that God will continue to strengthen more the UNLF, Manipur to follow the footstep of the deceased leader and also share grievances of the organization and family members " .
