AR organises excursion

In an attempt to provide healing touch to lives of locals who are suffering various social issues, HQ 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), in coordination with All Tribal Women Organisation (ATWO), organized an excursion tour for ladies who are affected by domestic violence .
In the day long excursion today, about 35 ladies and children visited various weaving centres and places of interest in Imphal.
The tour was flagged off by Brig AS Chauhan, Commander 26 Sector Assam Rifles at 7.15 am at Pallel, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S) .
Appreciating their role in providing help and support to women who have been victims of domestic violence and other social issues, 26 Sector Assam Rifles has been assisting ATWO in this initiative.
Interacting with ATWO functionaries and the affected ladies, Commander 26 Sector Assam Rifles encouraged them to take up self employment generation through skill development.
They were assured of all possible help from Assam Rifles in their ventures including skill development programmes.
